the iPad App Featuring Winter, Star of “Dolphin Tale”

We built this award winning iPad app for Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute, as a way of raising awareness for their mission of “Ocean Science for a Better World”.

It also tells the true story of their rescue of “Winter the Dolphin”, star of the “Dolphin Tale” movies.

Wild Dolphins App

“Wild Dolphins” is the iPad app that features Winter, star of the current movie, “Dolphin Tale” and reveals the greater truth behind her rescue, recovery and prosthetic tail fluke.

The iPad app, produced by Florida Atlantic University’s Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute is filled with many poignant stories of wild dolphins that are rescued every year.

Project Overview

Harborbranch Oceanographic Institute contracted us to develop a mobile app for the release of the major WB motion picture “Dolphin Tale”.

Their team had actually rescued “Winter the Dolphin”, and they were looking for a way to publish and promote a digital experience that could connect their institution to the movie, as well as to raise awareness of their institution and mission.
